II. THE NUMBER OF THE ANGELS. Hebrews 12:22 RV — "But ye are come unto Mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to unnumerable hosts of angels."

Proposition: There are innumerable hosts of angels — literally, myriads of angels. (See the RV Margin) (Compare to 2 Kings 6:17 — "And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha," and to Matthew 26:53 — -"Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?")
