Jesus said if we needed something we were to ask the Father in His Name and He would give it to us, as long as we did not ask amiss (Selfish reasons)... The next step when applying to the Holy Spirit, Jesus said as soon as you accept Him as the Son of God, and our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit would come and indwell us; when reading this one would realize that you do not have to ask Father to give you the Holy Spirit; that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Our Big Brother)will send the comforter (His Spirit) when we accept Him as our personal Savior, and the true Son of the living God. The Spirit of God is our teacher, guide, and counselor; with the Holy Spirit living inside of our bodies means that God the Father and God the Son (Jesus)is with us as well. God knows our thoughts as well as our desires, but he wants you to serve him in truth and in spirit so that you can ''ask, and it shall be given unto you''- Jude 11:9. Posted 2011-08-28 10:03:37 |
