| Sunday School Lesson 218 The Hebrew Servant |
|
Lesson: 218 Lesson Name: The Hebrew Servant Reading: Exodus 21:1-6 Memory Verse: Mark 10:45 Point 1: Exodus 21:1-6 reveals the "Law of the Servant." A master had to treat his servants with respect, compassion, and care if he/she ever wanted the same response of devotion as this servant gave. God never intended that slaves would be treated as poorly as so many masters, who did not fear God, have through the years all around the world. Notes: Isaiah 50:5 may well be a reference to the devoted Hebrew Servant. The Lord was truly the SERVANT who bore this character; He was not rebellious.
