Activity

Printable worksheet - Timeline of the life and dates of Abraham and Sarah.  Trace the ages of these two old parents and God's promises to them. 

Lesson Content Suggestions 

Point 1: Abram: Consider his impatience about a child, his foolishness about the whole thing, and his carelessness about God's promise.
Point 2: Sarai: What seemed so sensible at one time to her became unbearable and a reproach.  She calls it, "My wrong."
Point 3: Hagar: God was good to her in that she was blessed with health and conception, however she now uses God's goodness as a tool to provoke her mistress Sarai.
Point 4: Hagar couldn't run away from God.  He didn't desert her, but instead, He had wonderful purposes for her still.

Illustration: Tell a story about a small child who tried to hide from Mom.

Summary: No one is smart enough to run away from God.
