j g bellettThe Moral Glories of Our Lord -  A devotion regarding the Moral Glory in the character of the Lord Jesus.  All of his life went up to God as a sacrifice of sweet savour. Every expression of Himself in every measure, however small, and in whatever relationship it was rendered, was incense to his father.  Whatever Adam lacked, the Lord fulfilled completely in his perfect life.  J G Bellett was a brother from the United Kingdeom who wrote his works in the 1800's.

Lesson Teaching Points

Point 1: In Ex. 3:16, note what God wanted Moses to say to the Elders: I am visiting you (amazing thought), I have seen, and I will bring you up out of Egypt.
Point 2: Discuss what God wanted for His people: A three day journey out of Egypt (rather than 40 years), a clear distinction between His people and all others, and to have all gathered to Him without distraction or rival.  However, this wouldn't take place without problems.
Point 3: Moses said, "I know they won't listen to me."  How quick we are to doubt the greatness of the One who reveals Himself and speaks through us.
Point 4: Through a few "object lessons," God had something for Moses to learn and remember:  1) Rod turned into serpent.  Lesson: God could have made him run!  2) His hand became full of leprosy, an appalling and awful disease.  Lesson: God can cleanse the vilest thing.
