j g bellettThe Moral Glories of Our Lord -  A devotion regarding the Moral Glory in the character of the Lord Jesus.  All of his life went up to God as a sacrifice of sweet savour. Every expression of Himself in every measure, however small, and in whatever relationship it was rendered, was incense to his father.  Whatever Adam lacked, the Lord fulfilled completely in his perfect life.  J G Bellett was a brother from the United Kingdeom who wrote his works in the 1800's.

Sunday School Lesson Activity 205 The Plagues of Egypt

Lesson Content Suggestions

Point 1: Pharaoh was once again reminded of God's requirement and claims, "Let MY PEOPLE go."
Point 2: A clear division was seen between the land of Goshen and  the land of Egypt (Ex. 8:22, 23).  God made a difference.  Discuss the kinds of differences God puts between the saved and unsaved today.
Point 3: God did just what He said He would (Ex. 8:24).  God can and will do just what He says.  When Pharaoh said "I will let you go," in Ex. 8:28, notice that he also said, "only ye shall not go very far".  The Devil never wants us very far from the world and it's control.
Point 4: The division was seen with the cattle: Egypt felt the judgement, but there was NO judgement for the Lord's people (Ex. 9:7).

Notes: Perhaps it should be noted very clearly that while God puts a difference between His own and the world, that does not mean that Christians have no sorrows or pains.  God grants His power and presence to help His own with their trials.
