j g bellettThe Moral Glories of Our Lord -  A devotion regarding the Moral Glory in the character of the Lord Jesus.  All of his life went up to God as a sacrifice of sweet savour. Every expression of Himself in every measure, however small, and in whatever relationship it was rendered, was incense to his father.  Whatever Adam lacked, the Lord fulfilled completely in his perfect life.  J G Bellett was a brother from the United Kingdeom who wrote his works in the 1800's.

Activity #3

This worksheet will help you compare the salvation the people of Israel experienced with the salvation that people today can experience through the true Lamb of God.

Talking Points:

Point 1: The Israelites had been slaves and were under condemnation, however God made provision so that they did not feel the judgement he had reserved for the wicked and unbelieving.
Point 2: The Israelites were to "take a lamb" (Ex. 12:3).  Even though thousands of lambs died, God only saw "The Lamb" that each of the Passover lambs represented.  Notice: "a lamb" (Ex. 12:3), "the lamb" (Ex. 12:4), and "your lamb" (Ex. 12:5).  Speak of how everyone could have taken a lamb for himself.
Point 3: The Israelites were to kill the lamb (Ex. 12:6).  There was a day appointed and a time set when the lamb (and "The Lamb") were to die.
Point 4: The Israelites were to apply the blood (Ex. 12:7).  Application of the blood to the door posts shows how the lamb's provision had to be personally accepted.  The hyssop plant (a common weed that could have even been oregano) spoke of faith.
